Design Fail: Shoe Logo
As I was browsing through my favorite catalog, the Sky Mall, I couldn’t help but notice this sneaker product called, “Gravity Defyers.” Apparently they have springs in the heel and allow for an actual spring-in-your-step (lame pun intended). Sounds interesting, right? Well, displayed to the right is their logo design.
Although it’s not horrible (when in context), I think the designers and/or marketing department completely missed the mark when it came to the product’s brand. I’m not entirely sure I even get what they were trying to go for. I think it’s bad enough the way it was designed, but it looks even worse when used as an iconic mark. Here’s a screenshot of one of their shoes:

It sort of reminds me of the Nike Swoosh, but it gives a whole new meaning to the tagline, “just do it.”
